GEORES2019 – Venue&Tour ‘unknown Milan’

The city of Milan, Winter Olympic Games 2026 candidate – after Expo2015 on the theme “Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life” encompassing technology, innovation, culture, traditions and creativity, with the participation of 45 Countries – has been progressively increased the number of international visitors, even if it remains mostly unknown. As in the case of the role of Milan Capital of the Occident Roman Empire (286-402 d.C.), under Saint Ambrogio (Aurelius Ambrosius, Treviri, 339-340 – Milan, 397) bishop of Milan with his plan of the Basilicas: the Feast of Saint’ Ambrogio, patron of Milan, on the 7th of December, still testifies that important past to be preserved to the future generations.

Also, we’d like to underline that if you want to continue your trip in the “unknown Milan” you can visit the Last Supper of Leonardo da Vinci (Cenacolo Vinciano, Santa Maria delle Grazie). To preserve the masterpiece by Leonardo da Vinci access to the Last Supper it permitted only small groups of 25 people and only few days a week.
