Daniele Loiacono


Daniele Loiacono graduated in 2004 in Computer Engineering and received a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering in 2008 from Politecnico di Milano. Since 2011, he is an assistant professor at the Department of Electronics, Information of Politecnico di Milano. His main research interests include machine learning, computer assisted game design, educational games, and AR/VR technologies.

 

 

Keynote title: 5G, Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality for Immersive Education

Abstract: Visualization, modelling and interaction play a key role in the learning process, but they can be very challenging to achieve in many fields. Virtual and augmented reality are very promising technologies to deal with these challenges. This talk will discuss how 5G can enable the application of virtual and augmented reality to design novel educational experiences.
